Getting a correlation id in Revel's request log

I'd like to be able to have a correlation id that appears in both the revel request log, and all other logs associated with that request.
I can nearly achieve this, by doing the following in the Controller's before function:
func (c *Controller) Before() (r revel.Result, app *Controller) {
correlationId := ksuid.New().String()
c.Log = c.Log.New("correlation", correlationId)
return nil, nil
}
giving me a random string that will let me track all logs associated with a given request - however this doesn't allow me to tie it back to the revel request log.
Is there a way to achieve this?
