Extract the hierarchical structure of the nodes of a dendrogram

0

I would like to extract the hierarchical structure of the nodes of a dendrogram or cluster.
Suppose we have a dendrogram like below and we need have a vector/list of nodes up to the root for each leaf.
dedndrogram
Resulting in a hierarchy like this:

  hierarchical structure
leaf_1: 3-2-1
leaf_2: 4-2-1
leaf_3: 6-5-1
leaf_4: 8-7-5-1
leaf_5: 9-7-5-1

The thing has been done in R, but I wonder if it is possible to perform such in python?

R implementation: Extract the hierarchical structure of the nodes in a dendrogram or cluster
