Update column values in a data frame from lagged records of same column
Need to update dispatched_seq column value from its previous existing value. To elaborate, my input data is:

And my output data need to be :

I am looking for a solution using vectored operations like dplyr,apply etc. The data is more i.e around 10 million records.

to help you even more: Before usingzoo::na.locfreplace in colDispatched_seqNA with "NA_placeholder", "empty cells" with NA-Object. Then usezoo::na.locf. Now turn "NA_placeholder" back into NA-Object.
