Can anyone tell me what are the tadpole like figures on my camera frame?

Tadpole on the frame returned by camera

So I'm working on a university project where I'm primarily creating a surveillance quadrotor. I also wish to generate a 3D map of the surrounding. But the frame returned by my camera is corrupted by these tadpoles-like figures. I'm using a pretty cheap generic webcam for this purpose. I've also opened the webcams in order to fix them on the board. Can someone please tell me what are these and how to get rid of them? Is it a sensor to lens misalignment? Do I need to purchase new ones?
