How to add soft page break to run element
I do error correction in the MS Word files using python-docx
.
When I replace text in run, run also looses soft page break marker: <w:lastRenderedPageBreak/>
<w:r>
<w:rPr>
<w:b/>
<w:sz w:val="24"/>
<w:szCs w:val="24"/>
</w:rPr>
<w:lastRenderedPageBreak/>
<w:t>ham role</w:t>
</w:r>
so, in this way the proper page numbering is lost. I want to insert that <w:lastRenderedPageBreak/>
into run's xml: run._r.xml
.
But when I do:
xml = run._r.xml
xml.replace('</w:rPr>', '</w:rPr><w:lastRenderedPageBreak/>')
nothing happen.
Any help, hints?
