The accuracy of relations related to hypergeometric function

Kummer differential equation is:
$$xy^{''}+(b-x)y^{'}-ay=0$$
It is written in the handbook of mathematical functions(Abramowitz and Stegun 1972) that, this equation has 8 answers, the most general of which is the linear combination of the hypergeometric function and the Tricomi function. My question is whether the Tricomi function alone can be the answer to this equation?
