VM Server possibly assigns IP address to host

sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am a complete leek when it comes to microsoft server and networking.
As a school assignment, I had to run 2 Windows servers, and a client pc on 3 virtual machines. After getting the routing to work, I noticed my internet on my host pc became sluggish and after a while, browsing became impossible.
Upon looking at some settings in one of the server, I noticed my host pc's name showed up on a list of devices that are connected to the server that uses the routing role. My guess is that my VM server assigns an ip-address to my host pc, which conflicts with the ip-address the school network assigns.
Could this be possible? And is there a way to get this solved?
I tried removing the host pc from the list of known devices, but the problem keeps persisting. When I reboot my host pc after shutting down the servers, I have my connection back, but so far that seems to be the only workaround.
