Correlation between movement trajectories

I have the data from an object moving in a 2-D plane. The object does back and forth motion towards a choice from its initial position. I would like to see if the there is some sort of coorelation across the trajectory from the initial position to choice and from choice back to initial position. Can anyone suggest a way to move forward.
