Convert web.xml 2.5 project to springboot java config

I am trying to convert web.xml to java configuration and i am unable to do so as i remove web.xml, i get an error in tomcat as web.xml not found. how do i go with this?

In spring MVC you need to do lots of stuff like configuring web.xml
, dispatcher-servlet.xml
etc... But in spring boot you don't need to configure this. Spring boot automatically handle this. You don't need to configure mapping. Just need to write controller
. I think it will be better if you initialize a new spring boot project and do all the stuff according to your requirements. You can follow the link and this link. If you want to work with jsp follow this link.
