I have the below dataframe with date as index and need to select current row and rows before it

df:

        val   val1
date
2018-01-12 20 30
2018-01-20 10 50
2018-01-27 30 40

for col in df.columns:
subset_data = <code to write to select df with current row and last 139 rowss>
add_n = seasonal_decompose(subset_data[col], model='additive')
...

what code should i write to pass subset_data as current row and last 139 rows.

  • hi Mayank, there is a lot of code written, but i just need the part where I can select the subset of data and this subset changes everytime with loop so more like rows between current row and 139 rows before it

  • Assuming your "current row" is given with the variable i, and df is the name of your dataframe, df.iloc[i-139:i,:] is the subset of the whole dataframe you're looking for. This assumes you've made sure that i is at least 139 so that no index out of range occurrs
